Co-Founder, Teen Line
Psychiatrist Dr. Terry Lipton, co-founder and Chairman of the Board of the Center for the Study of Young People/Teen Line remained active until his death in 2005. Dr. Lipton maintained a private practice in Westwood while acting as a clinical consultant to Teen Line that included aiding the selection of teen volunteers. He also assisted in securing funding for the program.
Dr. Lipton was on the clinical faculty of UCLA School of Medicine and an attending psychiatrist in the department of psychiatry at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center as well as a member of the board of directors at the Dubnoff Center for Child Development in North Hollywood.
Dr. Lipton’s life revolved around improving the lives of others for which he was greatly esteemed. The Terry D. Lipton M.D. Memorial Fund was established to carry on his legacy.
